5/1/2011: The Savages break a 1-0 deficit in the 9th with a 2-out, game-tying hit by Kevin Lorenz and a game-winning 2-run HR by DJ Wilson. Johnny Thompson pitched a gem, going 9 innings allowing just 1 run and registering a team record 15 Ks.

7/26/2009: Kevin Lorenz picked up the Savages 1000th hit in their history in the first inning of the Savages 22-11 win over the Athletics.
2/8/2009: Savages add RHP Billy Stonick to their 2009 roster.

8/11/2008: Noah Luger picks up his third team MVP award!
8/10/2008: Needing a win to make the playoffs, the Savages couldn't get it done losing 4-2 to the White Sox. Ryan Robinson pitched great going 8 innings and allowing only 2 runs (1 earned) while striking out 7. Brian Savage had 3 hits and Adam Holmes broke up the shut out with a run scoring double in the ninth inning.
7/9/2008: Nick Holmes will replace Noah Luger in the All Star game. This will be Nick's second All Star Game appearance.
7/2/2008: Congratulations to the Savages 2008 All-Stars: Noah Luger, Kevin Lorenz, DJ Wilson and Brian Savage.
6/5/2008: Savages add power hitting outfielder Jeff Jones to their roster.
4/13/2008: The Brewers beat the Savages 7-4. The Savages played solid enough on the mound and field to get the win, but the bats did not come through. Noah Luger's 3 hits and Nick Holmes 2 RBI's were some of the few bright spots by an offense that had 18 K's.
4/06/2008: The Savages rallied from a 8-2 deficit to beat the White Sox 14-13. D.J. Wilson hit his first Savages Home Run and Noah Luger added 3 hits in the winning effort. Nick Rammer and Gino Galli provided great relief pitching as Gino tallied his first Win.
3/30/2008: The Savages lose their home opener to the Fairfield A's by the score of 14-6. Six errors in the field and timely hitting by the A's was too much to overcome. Nick Rammer went 5 strong, allowing just 1 earned run and Brian Savage had 2 hits in the loss. Lack of a fence hurt the Savages as numerous deep fly balls went for outs.
3/26/2008: The Savages add catchers Gino Galli and D.J. Wilson and left handed OF Spencer Harris to their roster.
2/08/2008: The Savages add pitcher Nick Rammer and power hitting DH Willy Holmes to their 2008 roster.
10/7/2007: The Savages played a good game against a tough Los Gallos team which ended in a 3-3 tie. Nick Rammer pitched a gem as he went the distance giving up just 7 hits and 1 earned run. On offense, Chris Waller led the way with 3 hits and Matt Stevens, Paul Poirier and Brian Savage each had 2 in the tie.
9/30/2007: The Savages beat the Honey Jammers 8-3 behind outstanding pitching from Nick Rammer, Ryan Robinson and Shamus Smith. Brian Savage and Dustin Suposs each reached base 4 times in the win as the Savages move to 2-0 on the season.
8/19/2007: The Savages end their season on a bad note as they get dealt their 8th loss in 9 games, this one to the count of 11-7 against the Auburn Tigers. Nick Holmes and Chris Palma lead the offense by each going 4-5 and Nick Holmes clubbed his league leading 7th Home Run of the season. Ryan Robinson had another solid outing on the mound and Brian Savage pitched two solid innings of relief.
8/12/2007: The Savages used a 9 run 6th inning to pull within 3 but that was as close as they would get in a 14-11 loss to the Gators. Casey Lubawy had 3 RBI's and Chris Palma, Brian Savage and Chris Waller each chipped in with 2 in the losing effort. Chris Waller also added 2 innings of scoreless relief pitching and Anthony Dapelo set a team record with 5 walks.
8/05/2007: The Savages and Ballas both played with 8 and the Ballas made the most of it. After the Savages took an 8-3 lead on Nick Holmes' 6th Home Run of the Season, the Savages defense fell apart. 7 errors by the Savages were a key factor in the Ballas scoring 14 runs in the final 2 innings as the Savages lost 17-11. Brian Savage went 4-5 with 2 doubles in the loss.
7/29/2007: After having a 14-3 lead, the Savages hang on to beat the rallying Rockhounds 14-13. Umpires played a huge roll in this one by missing calls and reversing several others late in the game. Brian Savage pitched his first complete game picking up the win, and Chris Palma hit his second home run of the year. Dustin Suposs, Noah Luger, Nick Holmes and Chris Waller all reached base 4 times in the win.
7/26/2007: Nick Holmes replaced Kevin Lorenz in the All Star game. The Savages' American All Stars lost to the National All Stars 15-5
7/22/2007: After taking a 7-7 tie into the 8th inning, the Savages pitching fell apart. The Aztecs used their late surge to beat the Savages 15-7 extending their losing streak to 5 games. Nick Holmes extended his home run streak to 3 games and Brian Savage pitched 6 solid innings in the loss.
7/15/2007: The Gators complete their sweep of the Savages as they score 5 in the 7th to deal the Savages their 4th loss in a row. Nick Holmes hit a Grand Slam and Noah Luger singled in 2 in the loss.
7/15/2007: The Savages lose their third straight 1 run game 7-6 to the Gators as the tying run is thrown out at the plate in the 9th. Ryan Robinson's second career complete game is wasted and Nick Holmes hit his 3rd jack of the year.
7/12/2007: Pitcher Chris York has been added to the roster
6/28/2007: Congratulations to the 4 Savages 2007 All-Star selections: Aaron Gilbert (CF), Chris Waller (1B), Adam Holmes (C) and Kevin Lorenz (Utility).
6/17/2007: The Savages win their second straight game as the beat the Ballas 9-0. The Ballas ended up forfeiting the game after only 7 players showed up for them.
6/03/2007: The Savages snapped their 3 game losing streak in a big way as they beat the Rockhounds 12-4. Kevin Lorenz threw a complete game and picked up his first win of the season and Noah Luger provided 3 RBI. Other offensive standouts were Nick Holmes with 3 hits, Dustin Suposs with 2 RBI and Chris Waller with 2 doubles. The Savages also had their first error free game of the year lead by left fielder Dustin Suposs who had 6 put outs.
5/20/2007: The Savages continued their poor play against the A's in a 13-7 loss. Ryan Robinson was roughed up by the A's patient hitters and 6 errors behind him didn't help his cause. Noah Luger and Kevin Lorenz each had 2 hits and Aaron Gilbert reached base 3 times and stole 3 bags in the losing effort.
The Savages Lost their third straight in a 20-3 blow-out loss to the first place Ballas. A sloppy 12 run fourth inning by the Ballas knocked the Savages out early in a game where Adam Holmes, Chris Waller and Nick Holmes accounted for the Savages 3 hits.
5/06/2007: The Savages put on a hitting display in a 21-6 win over the Aztecs in game one of their double header. Chris Waller lead the way going 5 for 5 with 3 RBI and Dustin Suposs and Adam Holmes added 3 RBI's as well. Ryan Robinson picked up his second win of the year going 4 solid innings.
The Savages lost game 2 of the double dip 13-6 to the Aztecs after striking out 16 times against the Aztecs ace. Adam Holmes hit his first homer of the season and Aaron Gilbert stole a Savages record 6 bases in the loss. Ryan Robinson got the loss on the mound after starting both ends of the double header.
4/30/2007: After being idle for four straight weeks due to weather, the Savages showed their rust in a 12-9 loss to the Auburn Tigers. The Savages committed 7 errors on defense and whiffed a team record 18 times on offense in the loss. Some of the few highlights for the Savages were great relief pitching by Kevin Lorenz and Brian Savage and 2 hits each by Aaron Gilbert, Adam Holmes, Chris Waller, Dustin Suposs and Brad Realmuto. Nick Holmes also provided 2 hits including a monster 2-run homer to left in the forth inning.
4/01/2007: The Savages overcame a sloppy start to beat the Rockhounds 11-4. Chris Palma threw 6 strong innings striking out 6 and he also added his first NABA homerun. Ryan Robinson added 2 scorless innings and Chris Waller contributed with 3 RBIs. The Savages set a franchise record with 11 steals with Casey Lubawy and Noah Luger leading the way with 3 each.
3/26/2007: The Sacramento Savages play a nearly flawless game as they beat the Fairfield A's 17-6 in their NABA debut. Casey Lubawy and Nick Holmes each hit 3 run Home Runs in the 3rd inning and Adam Holmes and Aaron Gilbert each provided 2 doubles. Dustin Suposs went 3 for 3 and Ryan Robinson pitched 6 solid innings in the win.
2/20/2007: The Sacramento Savages complete their 2007 roster by adding the hard throwing pitcher Chris Palma.
2/09/2007: Third Baseman Nick Holmes was added to the Savages roster.
1/11/2007: The Savages are set to join the NABA 18A in 2007. They also added starting centerfielder Aaron Gilbert to the team.
8/31/2006: Savages play a sloppy game and lose to the Firebirds 12-3. Isaac Luger provided some well pitched innings out of the bullpen and Chris Waller and Rick Cervantes each provided 2 hits in the loss.
8/22/2006: The Savages last inning rally falls short as they lose their first game of the season 10-9 to the Rockhounds. The Savages played very sloppy baseball as they walked 8 batters, hit 4 batters and committed 4 costly errors. Brian Savage, Noah Luger and Brad Realmuto each had 2 hits in the loss.
8/14/2006: The Savages Clinched Their First League Championship!!!
8/14/2006: After facing a 9-2 deficit in the second inning, the Savages went on a 13-1 run to beat the Dirtlines 15-10 and extended their unbeaten streak to 9 games. Kevin Lorenz worked 4 1/3 solid innings in relief to get the win. Noah Luger, Rick Cervantes and Adam Holmes had 2 RBI each and Isaac Luger added 3 RBI of his own to earn him the player of the game award.
8/07/2007: Savages could clinch first league championship with a win over the Dirtlines this week.
8/07/2006: The Savages blew an 8-1 second inning lead and wound up tying the Firebirds 11-11. Brian Savage and Isaac Luger provided 4 1/3 innings of solid relief pitching and Noah Luger and Adam Holmes each had 3 RBI in the tie. A lead-off Home Run by the Firebirds which was 20 feet "foul" loomed large in the outcome of the game.
7/31/2006: The Savages rode a huge 2 out rally in the last inning to squeak by the Rockhounds and extend their first place lead to 2 games. With two outs in the bottom of the last inning, Noah Luger singled, stole second base and eventually scored on a 3-2 triple to deep center field by Adam Holmes. Casey Lubawy continued his hot streak by lining a walk-off single to left field, extending the Sacramento Savages win streak to 5 games after the 5-4 victory. Adam Holmes' game tying triple and game winning run give him player of the game honors. The Savages also received great pitching from Kevin Lorenz, Matt Stevens and Brian Savage who earned the win in his Savages pitching debut.
7/24/2006: The Savages fought off a late comeback to beat the Dirtlines 7 - 6. Rick Cervantes went the distance striking out 6 while Casey Lubawy earned the player of the game award by hitting a huge 3 run triple. Dustin Suposs went 2 for 2 and Noah Luger hit his first career homer in the Savages 4th win in a row.
7/16/2006: The Savages held on to win an ugly one 11 - 7. In a game filled with errors, Kevin Lorenz was the bright spot as he went 2 for 2 with 3 runs and 2 RBIs. Noah Luger added 3 hits and Rick Cervantes hit his second career Home Run as the Savages start the season 2 - 0 for the first time in their brief history.
7/10/2006: Shamus Smith flied in from New York to make his 2006 Savages debut as the Savages beat the Rockhounds 16 - 1. Smith threw a complete game and matched the Rockhounds 3 hits with 3 of his own, earning him his first player of the game award. Dustin Suposs and Rick Cervantes also contributed 3 hits each in the win.
6/26/2006: The Savages hold on to beat the Rockhounds 7 - 5 thanks to a Rick Cervantes complete game, 8 strikeout performance. Nick Holmes had a huge two-out pinch hit which drove in the tying run in the 7th inning.
6/26/2006: Mike Parker made his Sacramento Savages debut vs. the Rockhounds after being only 7 weeks removed from major back surgery.
6/19/2006: Savages blow late lead to tie the Rockhounds 12 - 12. The Savages 17 hit performance was lead by the player of the game, Anthony Dapelo, who had four RBIs and provided three great innings of relief pitching.
6/12/2006: Ryan Robinson throws a complete game and strikes out 10 in his Savages debut and Kevin Lorenz went 2 for 3 with 3 steals as the Savages tie the Giants 4 - 4 . Ryan Robinson picks up his first player of the game award.
6/05/2006: Bad base running and 11 strikeouts doom the Savages on offense leading to a 9 - 6 Dirtlines victory. Brian Savage, Adam Holmes and Rick Cervantes lead the Sacramento Savages with 2 hits each.
5/21/2006: Sacramento Savages Get rained out for the 5th time
5/14/2006: Savages beat the Giants 14 - 13 on a Rick Cervantes pinch hit game winning 3 run home run. Casey Lubawy and Chris Waller each tallied 3 RBIs and Anthony Dapelo and Isaac Luger each scored 3 runs and had 2 hits
5/14/2006: Adam Holmes out until June with sprained ankle
5/07/2006: Savages clean up hitter Adam Holmes sprains his ankle during a collision at first base. His status for the next game is still unknown
5/07/2006: Savages get beat at home to the Rockhounds 11-2. Noah Luger gets his 4th player of the game award after breaking up the shutout with a sixth inning RBI triple
4/30/2006: Adam Holmes' 2 home run performance is wasted in 10 - 6 loss to the Giants. Adam Holmes picks up his 6th Player of the game award
4/23/2006: Isaac Luger picks up his 3rd player of the game award in the Savages 13 - 7 win over the Dirtlines
4/23/2006: Savages beat Dirt Lines 13 - 7. Noah Luger, Isaac Luger, Adam Holmes, Chris Waller and Rick Cervantes lead the 13 hit barrage with 2 hits each, and Isaac Luger also provided 6 2/3 innings of solid pitching
