About the Savages

The original Sacramento Savages baseball team (2004) consisted of a group of friends from the Sacramento area who shared a love for the game of baseball.  The majority of the group had ties to playing hardball for local colleges, such as Sacramento City College and University of Pacific (UOP), and/or Local Sacramento high schools.  After finishing playing competitive baseball, many of them missed the game and decided to created a team to play semi-pro ball.

The original Sacramento Savages, which debuted in 2004, consisted of a group of ballplayers from the south Sacramento area which consisted of Chris Waller, Dustin Suposs, Allen Flynn, Brandon Muheim, Rick Cervantes, Anthony Dapelo and coach Mike Parker.  This group formed together with their baseball playing friends from the Curtis Park area which consisted of Brad Realmuto, Isaac Luger, Noah Luger, Casey Lubawy, Shamus Smith, Joe Khatthavong and Noah's friend Jeremy Scott which completed the Sacramento Savages.

After a couple of underperforming seasons, the Sacramento Savages have retooled by adding the slugging third baseman Adam Holmes as well as a solid outfielder in Max Luger.  The Savages also added the pesky utility man Brian Savage (no relation to Fred Savage from the Wonder Years) and have strengthened their pitching with reserve roles from Joe Guro, Adam Duvall, Casey Sandretto and Chris York.

After a couple of rough seasons, it appears the Savages have retooled and are ready to win NOW!
